This policy sits alongside our Terms of Use and End User Licence Agreement. Where those documents and this one differ on fan content, this one applies.
We love watching people play our games and build things with them. This page explains what you can do with ACE game content, so you don’t have to email us to find out.
“ACE”, “we”, and “us” means Hangzhou Chuyu Game Technology Co., Ltd., doing business as ACE Entertainment. “Our Games” means every game we release on any platform, including anything we release in future.
Videos And Streams
You may record, stream, and publish videos of our Games anywhere — YouTube, Twitch, Bilibili, TikTok — without asking us first. Let’s Plays, reviews, guides, speedruns, clips, all fine.
You may earn money from them through platform ad revenue, channel memberships, sponsorships, and viewer donations. You don’t owe us a share and you don’t need a licence.
If we reshare your video. We may embed, reshare, or clip your videos and streams to show what our community is making. Where your name, voice, likeness, or on-camera appearance forms part of that material, you agree we may include it, and — to the extent the law allows — that you won’t bring a name, image, or likeness claim against us over that use. We’ll credit you and link back wherever we reasonably can, and we’ll take a clip down if you ask.
Please:
• Keep any original creator credits in the material you use.
• Make it obvious the channel is yours, not ours.
• Add your own commentary, editing, or performance rather than re-uploading our trailers as standalone content.
Please don’t:
• Put our game content behind a paywall or subscriber-only wall, or license your videos to third parties.
• Sell your footage, or resell our trailers, cinematics, or assets.
• Present a sponsor as connected to ACE.
• Publish story spoilers from a Demo, Beta, or press build before its embargo lifts. We’ll always tell you the date.
Fan Art, Fiction, And Cosplay
Create freely. Fan art, comics, fiction, cosplay, music covers, printables — all welcome, and all yours to the extent it’s your own original work. Anything in it that comes from our Games stays ours.
You may take money for it as an individual or small-scale seller: commissions, convention prints and stickers, small-batch merch, and voluntary donations are all fine.
What “small-scale” means. You are small-scale if you sell as a private individual, or under a simplified or exempt tax regime where you live — for example a hobby seller in the United States, a micro-entrepreneur in France, or a Kleingewerbetreibende in Germany.
In mainland China, this permission covers natural persons only. If you hold any form of business registration — including an individually owned business (个体工商户), a sole proprietorship, or a company — you fall outside it, whatever your turnover, and you need our written agreement before selling anything based on our Games.
Being a natural person isn’t enough on its own — the activity also has to stay unscaled. That means made by you in small runs, sold directly to the people who want them. It does not cover factory or bulk production runs, wholesale or supply to resellers and distributors, standing inventory built for volume, hiring people or contracting a workshop to produce for you, or running it as an ongoing storefront business. If you’re planning any of those, talk to us first.
If we see commercial activity at a larger scale, we may ask you to show us which side of the line you’re on — tax status, business registration, or similar — and we ask that you answer accurately and without undue delay.
You may not run it as a scaled commercial operation, sell direct reproductions of our art and assets, or manufacture merchandise at retail scale. If you’re unsure which side of the line you’re on, ask us — we’d rather say yes with conditions than send a takedown.
Mods
Modding is welcome. A “Mod” means any modification of an ACE game: new items, characters, models, textures, quests, translations, UI changes, balance tweaks.
Ownership. Your original work is yours. Anything in your Mod that includes or derives from ACE content — code, assets, characters, names, story, art, audio — remains ours. Don’t ship other people’s work without their permission.
Mods stay free. Don’t sell, rent, license, or paywall a Mod, and don’t gate early access behind payment. Two exceptions: you may take commissions to build a Mod, as long as the finished Mod is also released publicly for free; and you may ask for voluntary donations.
Licence to us. By releasing a Mod publicly, you grant ACE an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute it in connection with the game.
Technical limits:
• Don’t break online features or affect other players’ sessions.
• Don’t circumvent DRM, licence checks, or platform protections, or help anyone play an unpurchased copy.
• Don’t unlock paid content, generate currency, or bypass purchase flows.
• Don’t ship malware, telemetry, or anything that collects player data.
• Don’t decompile or redistribute our engine code, source, or raw asset archives.
• Label mature content clearly.
Support. Modded games are unsupported. Please reproduce any bug on a clean install before reporting it. Updates may break Mods; we’ll flag format changes where we reasonably can, but we can’t promise compatibility.
Generative AI
Don’t prompt or train generative AI tools on our content, or use them to recreate it. Specifically:
• Don’t imitate, clone, or deepfake the voices or performances of our voice actors, or of any real person, without their explicit written consent.
• Don’t extract audio, model, or texture data from our game files as training material.
• Don’t synthesise new dialogue in our characters’ voices.
Our voice cast trusted us with their performances, and we intend to keep that trust.
Our Names And Logos
• Don’t use the ACE logo, our game logos, or our trademarks in your channel art, brand, product, or domain name.
• Don’t remove or alter copyright, trademark, or legal notices.
• Don’t state or imply that ACE commissioned, sponsored, endorsed, or approved your work. Fan content is unofficial.
• If you use another company’s content alongside ours, following their rules is on you.
What We Won’t Allow
You’re responsible for what you publish. Don’t create anything using our Games that is hateful, discriminatory, obscene, defamatory, unlawful, or that harasses our players or our team.
Anything that makes our players or staff feel unsafe doesn’t belong here.
Our Rights
We may ask you to take content down, and we may withdraw permission under this policy at any time — including where we consider a use inappropriate or damaging. If you breach this policy you lose your permissions immediately.
By publishing content about our Games, you grant us and our partners a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, display, distribute, and share it, so we can show off what our community makes. We’ll credit you where we reasonably can.
